In September of 2014, Colorado-based music nonprofit SpokesBUZZ will send seven Colorado bands across the nation to play with partnering bands for its third annual "BandSwap" program. Afterwards, the local bands will return home, bringing their partners back with them to perform in Colorado for a "Homecoming" celebration.
Founded in 2012, BandSwap strives to "deconstruct the limiting, linear touring model that can hinder progress for today's musicians."
This year's participating cities are:
- Athens, Ga.
- Charleston, S.C.
- Chico, Calif.
- Lafayette, La
- Madison, Wis.
- Nashville, Tenn.
- Portland, Ore.
