Check your mailbox, Coloradans. Starting Tuesday, election ballots are being sent to every registered voter in the state.
You can still stand in line at your local polling place on Nov. 4, if you wish. That's also the deadline for mail-in ballots to be returned.
Here are some other key dates:
- Oct. 20, when voting centers have to be open.
- Oct. 27, the last day to submit a voter registration application and still receive a mail-in ballot.
- Oct. 28, the last day to apply by mail for an absentee ballot.
- Oct. 31, deadline to apply in person for an absentee ballot.
Register to vote on the secretary of state's website, or in person at your local county clerk's office.
Every Coloradan will have the chance to vote in high-profile races for governor and U.S. Senate, lesser-known statewide races for secretary of state, attorney general and state treasurer, and a range of ballot measures. Local races include congressional races and school district levys.
