NPR’s ‘From the Top’ coming to Denver in February; young musicians wanted

Local classical music students to be featured on From The Top.

NPR’s From the Top, which broadcasts amazing young musicians performing for live audiences, is coming to Denver in February.

Producers of the weekly show are looking for outstanding young performers in Colorado who’d like to be featured.

The deadline to submit an audition tape is Dec. 19. Applicants must be age 8-18 and not be enrolled in a college or conservatory. Read more about eligibility rules.

Selected musicians will be featured on air nationally and may receive a scholarship.

The taping, hosted by the University of Colorado Denver College of Arts and Media, is set for 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 at the King Center on the Auraria Campus. The show will air a few weeks later on CPR Classical.
