Student sprinkled marijuana on treats at Denver middle school

Denver police told KMGH-TV that a student sprinkled marijuana on top of rice crispy treats at Skinner Middle School in Denver on Thursday, and one of the five students who ingested the marijuana was taken to a hospital at the request of her parents.

Police spokesman Sonny Jackson tells The Denver Post that students at the school alerted staff at the that classmates had used the drug. One girl was cited for having marijuana on school grounds, possession of alcohol by a minor and unlawful acts on school grounds. She was released to her parents.
