It's May, when thoughts turn to hiking, biking, paddling and climbing in the high country. Unless of course you're talking about Arapahoe Basin. Up there, tucked under the Continental Divide, it's been a crazy three days of -- skiing.
Make that record-breaking skiing, the Summit Daily reports. And as the video above shows, we're not talking about crusty spring corn, either.
Spokeswoman Adrienne Saia Isaac wouldn’t give out skier numbers, citing company policy, but she said the ski area scanned 15 percent more season passes and lift tickets than it did on A-Basin’s previous record-high day set five years ago on April 24, 2010.
