Cow Dies, Humans Injured In Crash Near Glenwood Springs

The Colorado State Patrol says a car hit the cow on Highway 82 about half an hour before sunrise Tuesday. The cow, which was standing in the right lane, was killed.

Investigators say the 51-year-old driver from Basalt and a 17-year-old girl suffered moderate injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports the crash caused extensive front-end damage to the car.
