A bicyclist who begged for his life as a gunman fatally shot him on a street in Colorado Springs was an Army veteran who survived three tours of duty in Iraq.

Tina Myers on Tuesday recalled her former husband, 35-year-old Andrew Alan Myers, as a decorated military veteran and a caring father to their two young sons. He died Saturday after the shooter gunned him down in broad daylight and then killed two women on the porch of a sober living home.
