Planned Parenthood Shooting Victim To Be Laid To Rest

The campus police officer killed in last week's Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado is being laid to rest.

Hundreds of people are expected at Friday's funeral for Garrett Swasey in Colorado Springs, which will be followed a procession to the cemetery. He worked at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and rushed to the clinic to help after the gunman opened fire.

Swasey was married with two children and was a co-pastor at Hope Chapel, an evangelical church in ColoradoSprings. He was originally from Melrose, Massachusetts, and moved to Colorado to train as a champion ice dancer.

The service will be held at New Life Church, a large venue that was the scene of a shooting in 2007. Two teen sisters were killed and three others were wounded.
