With the change in gas prices during the past week, yesterday’s average price across Colorado is almost 8-and-a-half cents lower than one month ago.
GasBuddy’s senior analyst Patrick DeHaan says the decline in gasoline prices has hit virtually everyone from the East to the West coasts -- the national average is likely to fall to a $1.70 soon, he says.
The highest average price for a gallon of gas in Colorado is $3.17 in Pitkin County, the home of Aspen and Snowmass. The lowest price can be found at $1.74 in Colorado Springs.
