Colorado Gun Sales Increase 27 Percent In Early 2016

Colorado’s gun dealers kicked off 2016 with a spike in sales.

14,000 more guns were sold in Colorado in January and February, compared to the same months last year. That’s a 27 percent increase, according to background check statistics provided by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Gun salesmen say customers have been motivated, in part, by gun control debates during the presidential campaign. Also, they say there’s been a run on silencers because new federal regulations on them take effect this summer.
