Snowpack At 96 Percent Of Normal For Colorado

March 30, 2016

Colorado’s snowpack has hit normal or higher levels with recent spring snow storms.

The Denver Post reports federal surveys show snowpack at 96 percent of the median statewide, with most mountain areas above average.

Mountain snowpack serves as a slow-release water storage system - - water that will end up in streams, rivers, reservoirs and irrigation canals.
