Colorado Gas Prices Average Under $2 A Gallon

Gasoline prices in Colorado fell by a penny in the past week, averaging $1.94 a gallon Sunday, according to the gasoline price website GasBuddy.

Prices were almost 27 cents per gallon lower than the same day in 2015, but were nearly 19 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

Historical data from the last five years shows gas prices on April 4th have ranged widely from a high of $3.82 a gallon in 2012 to $2.21 a gallon last year.

Will Speer, senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy, says gas prices are expected to continue to increase this week.
