President Barack Obama will deliver the commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy's graduation ceremony June 2, the academy confirmed on Thursday.

"We couldn't be more excited about it," said academy spokesman John Van Winkle. "We want to know what he wants. We want to know what he needs. We want to know what he thinks. We're going to get a chance to hear about it."

Obama spoke at the academy's graduation ceremony in 2012, as many troops were being pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Four years ago, you arrived here at a time of extraordinary challenge for our nation. Our forces were engaged in two wars," Obama said then. "Today, you step forward into a different world."

Ticketing information will be published in May, Van Winkle said.
