CPR Classical presents a special broadcast of Opera Colorado’s current production: Giacomo Puccini's “La Fancuilla del West,” or “Girl of the Golden West.”
Listen at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, for a full performance of the opera, recorded at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
The music tells a sweeping story about the Gold Rush and the American West. Opera Colorado’s production puts a regional twist on the work, and moves the action from California to Colorado. It’s being performed Nov. 5, 8, 11 and 13.
