The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) has recognized "Wish We Were Here, Episode 15: Acre for Acre – the Fight for Strawberry Fields" as the best News Documentary in its annual regional Edward R. Murrow competition.
The episode comes as part of 91.5 KRCC's award winning coverage of the controversial land swap between the City of Colorado Springs and the Broadmoor Hotel that included Strawberry Fields, a parcel of open space in Cheyenne Canyon Park.
The Edward R. Murrow Awards honor the best journalism produced by radio, television, and digital news organizations. 91.5 KRCC's region, Region 3, includes Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. The full list of winners is available here.
