Update 2:42 p.m.

Gov. Jared Polis said the state is still waiting to get more vaccine doses from the federal government — and is urging patience, especially for the state's senior population.

"We are only receiving at this point 70,000 vaccines a week from the federal government," he said. "So when we extrapolate those numbers, it means everybody's 70 enough who wants it should be able to get it by the end of February."

The 70-plus group started getting vaccinated after frontline workers. Polis urged those in that age group to get the vaccine; he says nearly 80 percent of COVID-19 deaths are in people older than 70.
