Denver School of the Arts: String Orchestra Concert
When
Event Description
"The Denver School of the Arts Orchestra (DSAO) is an intensive program for string musicians seeking to develop their talent, understanding, and passion for music. DSAO prepares students who want to become professional musicians but also serves those wishing to pursue music for their own enrichment or to participate in community and college ensembles.
"The first Orchestra event of the year will feature both the Middle School Sinfonia and the Advanced Orchestra group. Sinfonia will be entertaining the audience with the Allegro con Brio from Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8 (the first movement), themes from Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and Pagodas by Richard Meyer. The Advanced Orchestra will be playing Oracion del Torero by Joaquin Turina and Atom Hearts Club Suite by Takashi Yoshimatsu. The evening will finish with Metal Rhythmico by Kirt Mosier which is a piece the full orchestra will be playing at the prestigious Midwest Conference later this fall."
