Event Description

"Our Season Finale Masterworks Concert includes an action-packed program – one that we had intended to perform at our 2019-2020 Season Finale concert before COVID required us to postpone. The program opens with ECO Music Director William Hill’s composition Three Tangos. Hill has orchestrated his charming set of Tangos, which were originally composed for solo piano and then transcribed for piano and violin. The program continues with a performance of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring internationally-renowned concert pianist Katie Mahan. We conclude with a performance of one of the most famous works of music of all time – Ludwig van Beethoven’s massive Symphony No. 5."
