Loveland Orchestra: To My Friends…

"The Loveland Orchestra presents the next concert of the 2022-2023 Season, 'To My Friends...' Conductor Luciano Silvestri begins the evening with a lively discussion of the music in the program. The concert will start with Academic Festival Overture by Brahms, which was written to a friend, in lieu of a thank you note for an academic honor. Next is Schumann's Symphony No. 4, containing a melodic nod to friends. After a brief intermission, the orchestra concludes with Elgar's 'Enigma' Variations, in which each variation on the theme represents one of the composer's friends."
