Event Description

"Music Director Michael Stern has planned a terrific season of 'must-hear' concerts that will delight and inspire. 'Ridgeline' was composed by NRO Alumnus David Dzubay in the spring of 2023 for a premiere by the National Repertory Orchestra at their 30th anniversary season Opening Night. The music is inspired by the ridgeline of mountain peaks visible from Breckenridge, particularly Peaks 6-10, which make up the town’s ski area. Also on the program is Adolphus Hailstork’s 'Fanfare on Amazing Grace,' a glorious and uplifting take on the beloved hymn tune, and Béla Bartók’s brilliant Concerto for Orchestra, one of the greatest pieces of the 20th century."

With Michael Stern, conductor; Sadie Hamrin, violin; Natalie Koh, violin; Kate McKenzie, viola and Claire Choi, cello.

HAILSTORK: Fanfare on Amazing Grace
TIMOTHY HIGGINS: Sinfonietta
