St. John’s Music Society Presents: Adam Pelandini, Saxophone

"The St. John’s Music Society is presenting saxophonist Adam Pelandini. Based in the Pacific Northwest, Adam has performed across the US, Europe, and New Zealand, and served as a regular collaborator with the Boston Symphony. In this program, not only will you hear some classical saxophone standards, you will also hear transcriptions - works not originally intended for saxophone, yet they lend themselves beautifully to the sound palette - as well as some newer works. Aaron Hirsch will be collaborating with Adam, providing orchestral reductions as well as exciting accompaniments on both piano and organ. Composers featured: Tomaso Albinoni, Edward Elgar, Fernande Decruck, Jules Demersseman, and Fisher Tull. There will be a light reception following this performance for a chance to chat with the artists."
