More than 70 million people in the Indian state of Bihar live with unreliable electricity, or none at all. Manoj Sinha tells Colorado Matters he knows what that’s like, because he grew up in that region and often had to study by candlelight. Now the company he co-founded is generating power for more than 100,000 people in Bihar, using solar energy and rice waste. The company is Husk Power Systems and Sinha recently moved its headquarters to Fort Collins.
