For Hispanic Heritage Month, our colleagues at Indie 102.3 are showcasing Latin acts in Colorado, including Katiria. The Denver-based singer was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Katiria grew up in a musical household, getting her first guitar at age 4 and performing by the time she was 8. But the pandemic lockdown pushed her out of her comfort zone and into a recording career. Katiria learned music production, worked on her songwriting, and went viral with her first single, "Mientes."
