Colorado city planners take guerrilla tactics mainstream

But Tactical Urbanism is increasingly being embraced by the same kinds of officials the movement has traditionally tried to work around. The cities of Colorado Springs and Denver have used its tactics to draw more citizens into city planning. It’s a movement finding its way into the mainstream.

Ryan Warner spoke with tactical urbanists John Olson, co-founder of Colorado Springs Urban Intervention, and Chris Gleissner, senior city planner with the City of Denver.
