Alana DeJoseph worked with a local resident to make mud bricks during her Peace Corps service in Mali in the early 1990s. DeJoseph now lives in Denver.

In the 1960s, it was coined "The Toughest Job You'll Ever Love," but over the years the Peace Corps has had its share of ups and downs. Denver filmmaker Alana DeJoseph served in the Peace Corps in in Mali, in West Africa, from 1992 to 1994. 

Her documentary, “A Towering Task: The Story of the Peace Corps” premieres tonight on Rocky Mountain PBS.
