Simone Ross is the executive director of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

March is Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate and reflect on the achievements and contributions that women have made - and continue to make - in our country. For many women, one of the accomplishments to commemorate is owning a business. A recent study, based off U.S. Census data, highlights three cities in the Denver Metro area as collectively being number two among major U.S. cities with the most women business owners. The topic of women and entrepreneurship is also the focus of a recent report and event hosted by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce called The State of Women In Business. We talk to the new executive director, Simone Ross, and business owner Julia Alvarez.
