Kaia Lagoni is a senior at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins. Last fall, she auditioned to become a part of the GRAMMY Foundation Jazz Choir. Every year, the foundation auditions hundreds of high school singers and musicians from around the country. Lagoni is one of thirty students chosen this year to take part in one of three groups: A full size big band, a jazz combo, and the jazz choir. She's the only one from Colorado. She’s in Los Angeles this week-- performing, taking work shops with GRAMMY-winning artists, and recording music. Sunday night, she’ll be in the audience to watch the Grammy awards. She spoke with Ryan Warner about what it was like to be chosen for the choir and what she's doing this week.
