Amy Parsons prepares to address the Colorado State University Board of Governors on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022 after the board voted in favor of appointing Parsons as the new president of CSU. Parsons was the sole finalist after a confidential search. Former President Joyce McConnell stepped down from her position in June.

Amy Parsons, who’s held several different jobs at CSU, takes over the Fort Collins campus at a time of record undergraduate enrollment. She says her goals include increasing the number of students of color and first-generation college students. She also hopes to increase the number of students from different parts of the state. Parsons says another priority will be designing a curriculum that prepares students for the workforce.
