Latino voters only care about immigration. That's a long-held assumption in some circles. But several studies indicate otherwise, and show that Latinos care just as much about other issues, including the environment. The third annual Americas Latino Eco Festival, which runs Thursday through Saturday in Denver, aims to drive that point home.
Robert Preuhs, an associate professor of political science at Metropolitan State University in Denver, spoke with Ryan Warner about where the environment ranks as an issue for Latino voters in 2016 and what that could mean for the Colorado electorate.
