It's Colorado Matters. That IT'S, not ITS... something, apparently, a lot of Patty Limerick’s students don’t know. Limerick, a history professor at CU-Boulder, is disturbed by the bad grammar in her students’ work. But she’s been wondering: in the world of e-mail and texting, is good writing anachronistic? To find out, she wrote a column in the Denver Post, asking Colorado employers if writing skills matter anymore. Professor Limerick speaks with CPR’s Elaine Grant.
