John Sachs survived the Holocaust, then came to the United States, joined the Army and went back to Europe to fight the Nazis who killed his parents. Sachs was a member of the the elite and experimental 10th Mountain Division-- the skiing & climbing soldiers of World War II. John's grandson David, a former Denverite reporter, shares a 1996 interview his late grandfather gave as part of a Holocaust remembrance project.
