Statue Restored to Original Home

A Statue of Liberty replica has been restored to its original luster and place of honor in front of Colorado Springs City Hall. That’s where the community will hold a dedication ceremony as part of its Fourth of July celebration.  Stephanie Johnson, president of the Platte Avenue Business and Neighborhood Association, helped lead the effort. She tells CPR’s Pat Mack why the statue was moved about a decade ago, after a half-century of greeting visitors to city hall.
