Colorado College festival continues with music by Francaix, Martinu

Photo: Susan Cahill, double bass Horizontal cropThe Colorado College Summer Music Festival on Thursday presents its second concert of the season, with a program including music by Robert Schumann and Alan Hovhaness.

Festival musicians will also perform Jean Francaix’s Quartet for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Bassoon and Bohuslav Martinu’s unusual Quartet for Clarinet, Horn, Cello and Side Drum.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Packard Hall on the Colorado College campus in Colorado Springs.
