This free, all-day celebration of music making features performances by Opera Colorado, Bevan Frost and other artists, workshops and an instrument petting zoo from Swallow Hill Music, singalongs and food.

Shine Restaurant and Gathering Place, Boulder
Seven amateur storytellers take the stage to tell true stories. The theme for this slam is “committed.”

Garner Galleria Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Denver
This improv, sketch comedy and musical revue by company members from Chicago’s renowned Second City improv ensemble takes on such issues as relationships, missed love connections and political partisanship.

Museo de las Americas, Denver
The Latino visual arts institution hosts work by seven local artists born and raised on the West side of Denver who typically use the urban environment as their canvas. The exhibition contrasts creating art within the "white box" walls of a museum with creating art on the streets.

Denver’s Zikr Dance Ensemble, whose contemporary dance and multi-media performances are based on ancient dance rituals from many different world cultures throughout history, presents a new work inspired by Christian sacred dance.

Chicago-based film score composer, multi-instrumentalist, and lyricist Andrew Bird comes to Boulder with Hands of Glory, his old-timey acoustic backing band.

Six-time Grammy-winning dubstep artist Skrillex brings his Mothership Tour 2014 to Red Rocks for two nights of electronic dance music.

The Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts presents three weekends of outdoor plays, including six performances of Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors” and six performances of “The Imaginary Invalid,” a comedy by Molière.

Wonderbound, formerly Ballet Nouveau Colorado, presents an evening of dance choreographed by Artistic Director Garrett Ammon, featuring live music from klezmer fusion band Hal Aqua and The Lost Tribe.

This exhibition from photographer and documentary filmmaker Allen Birnbach documents the challenges faced by three families, each of whom have ranched and stewarded their lands for generations, as they battle against the cultural, economic and environmental challenges that threaten to destroy their way of life.
