Download the first single "Scissor Me Cigs" from California band The Donkeys' fourth studio album "Ride The Black Wave."
The Donkeys have been compared to Pavement, The Grateful Dead, and even Crosby Stills & Nash in the past, but their sound usually hones in on the more relaxed elements of those bands. They easily traverse laid back classic rock, country rock, and folk music, and seemlessly blend those elements into an experimental ambient soundscape.
"Scissor Me Cigs" is awash in ambient instrument overlays, drawing from thier diverse chest of genres and allowing the listener to ride a wave of emotion alongside these talented San Diego artists.
