Courtesy of Zachary BelcherEnvelopes like this containing the wrong election date were mailed out to Denver voters this week. Election Day is May 5, not June 2.
Denver’s Election Division says some envelopes have the municipal runoff election date of June 2. The erroneous date has no effect on voter’s ballots, but they must be returned by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5 in order to count.
The division says a contractor printed the envelopes in error and will be held responsible. The ballot itself and the voter instructions all contain the correct election date.
