Colorado's unusual weather is bringing smiles to the faces of operators of the Arapahoe Basin ski area.
"It seems like it's more like like March 21 than May 21 with all the snow we have," said Leigh Hierholzer, marketing director of the ski area.
She adds that the basin has a base of 58 inches and has received 44 inches so far this month. Their May average is 30 inches. She says a lot of skiers and snowboarders are "getting in" their last days of the season.
Hierholzer says they're scheduled to close June 7, but they'll play it by ear this year.
