Weld County law enforcement officials want to bring more transparency to officer-involved shooting investigations. District Attorney Michael Rourke on Wednesday announced the appointment of a new team to handle those cases. It will include top officials at several agencies, veteran investigators and younger officers. Known informally as the "Shoot Team," the Weld County group will be similar to ones in Arapahoe, Adams, Boulder, Jefferson counties.
