City officials say a large sinkhole in northwest Colorado Springs is getting bigger. A civil engineer with the city tells The Gazette the sinkhole opened on North Chestnut Street after heavy rain Monday and was last measured at 25 feet deep, 15 feet wide and 25 feet long. He added that it's unclear when repairs will be completed. Additional rainfall is anticipated over the next few days.
