Rocky Mountain Natl. Park On Pace To Break Visitor Record
The Coloradoan reports that the park has attracted 2.9 million visitors through August, which is an increase of 20 percent over the same period last year. The park is on pace to draw more than 4.1 million visitors this year.
Last year, the park saw a record-breaking 3.4 million visitors.
Park officials say they expect to break the record in September, which is their busiest month due to the aspens changing colors and the elk mating season, which draws many visitors.
