CPR Classical Airs NPR’s ‘From The Top’ Colorado Episodes

Local classical music students to be featured on From The Top.

CPR Classical is set to broadcast three Colorado episodes of NPR’s From the Top, highlighting performances by promising young musicians.

The upcoming episodes features performances taped this year in Denver, Vail and Aspen. Here's when to listen:

Denver

  • 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28

The show, taped earlier this year at the University of Colorado Denver, features the film music of Danny Elfman played by Denver School of the Arts Students.

National Repertory Orchestra at Bravo! Vail

  • 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29

The Breckenridge-based National Repertory Orchestra, one of the top training ensembles in the U.S. for aspiring professional musicians, headed over Vail Pass this summer for a performance at the Bravo! Vail music festival.

Aspen Music Festival and School

  • 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30

From the Aspen Music Festival and School, a recent evening of music by up-and-coming musicians in the school's orchestra (like this Denver violinist we featured recently).
