Pueblo-Denver Flights To Resume This Sunday

Flights from Pueblo to Denver will resume as part of the federal Essential Air Services program.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports that Wyoming-based Great Lakes Airlines will begin its air service between Pueblo and the Denver International Airport on Sunday. The airline will operate single flights Sunday through Friday.

The federal program chose Great Lakes as a replacement carrier for the route after SkyWest Airlines suspended its Pueblo-to-DIA flights in June.

According to a sample of dates and air fares on the company's website, a one-way ticket for the Pueblo-to-Denver route ranges from $80 to $239. The one-way price for the DIA-to-Pueblo route ranges from $83 to $234.

Pueblo officials say a second daily flight may be added sometime next year.
