The music from Dr. Dog's latest album dates back to 2001. Founding members Scott McMicken and Toby Leaman wrote the songs during the band's early days. Last year, they updated and re-recorded them for "The Psychedelic Swamp," the Pennsylvania group's ninth studio album.
"Bring My Baby Back" showcases Dr. Dog's astute blend of indie and roots rock. The single is driven by psychedelic synth sounds and Leaman's simultaneously desperate and laid back vocals.
"The Psychedelic Swamp" is out Feb. 5. Dr. Dog performs at Denver's Ogden Theatre on Feb. 12.
