February 12, 2016

Over the Super Bowl weekend, the Colorado Department of Transportation says its DUI enforcement effort netted 276 impaired drivers. That's an increase from last year, when CDOT made 234 arrests.

The Colorado State Patrol made the highest number of arrests -- 51. The Aurora Police Department followed with 44 arrests, and the Colorado Springs Police Department made 27 arrests. However, Denver's numbers were not immediately available.

The next DUI enforcement period revolves around St. Patrick’s Day and will run from Friday to Friday starting March 11.
