Colorado added about 3,000 high-tech jobs in 2015 for a total of 187,000, according to industry group CompTIA's Cyberstates Report.
The report says that tech workers make up about 9 percent of the state’s workforce and the annual payroll for tech companies was about $20 billion. The average salary was over $100,000.
Colorado’s tech job increase of 1.7 percent in 2015 did lag behind the national average.
