Rhye first arrived as a mysterious musical act whose early singles prompted much speculation as to the band's identity. We eventually learned that singer Mike Milosh and instrumentalist Robin Hannibal were behind the sultry R&B of the band's debut album, "Woman."
Now the sole project of Milosh, Rhye has shed its clandestine persona with hundreds of live shows in the five years since its debut. The band's sophomore LP, "Blood," is out Feb. 2.
The single "Taste" demonstrates how Rhye's sound has evolved to strengthen its live performance: It features more acoustic instruments along with disco-funk guitars and synths that add a danceable energy.
