Anastasia: Once Upon a December
When
Event Description
About the performance:
The Colorado College Department of Music and the Colorado Springs Conservatory are teaming up once again for a magical winter collaboration: Anastasia. This beloved musical tells the story of Anya, a young amnesiac woman who hopes she might be the lost Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia.
As she joins forces with two con men—Dmitry and Vlad—Anya embarks on a sweeping journey from St. Petersburg to Paris, seeking family, identity, and belonging amid a world in political turmoil. Filled with hope, heart, and the unforgettable music of Stephen Flaherty with lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Anastasia invites audiences into a world where courage and memory intertwine.
This December production highlights the artistry of student performers from Colorado College and the Colorado Springs Conservatory, featuring beautiful vocal performances, lush musical accompaniment, and immersive theatrical storytelling.
Don’t miss this special collaboration bringing classic musical theatre to life.
