Caldwell Insurance and Evergreen Chamber of Commerce: A Storybook Holiday in Evergreen
When
Event Description
This ice extravaganza brings favorite holiday stories alive through a series of beautiful, life-size ice sculptures staged throughout Evergreen. The team of ice sculptors, led by Award-winning ice carver Cool Hand Ice Sculptors, will be expertly crafting icy scenes from 4 classic holiday stories. Enjoy the sculptures as you meander through Evergreen while visiting local shops and restaurants. As the sun sets the sculptures come to life as holiday lights illuminate them.
On November 22nd the festivities begin at the Stone House Visitor Center in North Evergreen, when we light a real fire in the ice fireplace, hung with ice stockings and light up the ice Christmas Tree. Our ice sculptors will spend the following few days creating icey statues throughout town that will be debuted the evening of November 27th, just in time for small business Saturday in Evergreen. A map of all of the ice sculptures will be available on-line at the Chamber website. www.evergreenchamber.org
Beginning on December 4, Santa Claus and his good friend Rabbi Jamie will be reading stories for children near and far to enjoy. Through the power of his Elf-Cam, on Facebook and YouTube, Santa will read The Polar Express (December 4), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (December 11), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (December 18) and T’was the Night Before Christmas (December 24). On December 10th, the first night of Hanukkah, Rabbi Jamie will read a Hanukkah story.
The ice sculptures will remain in place through the holidays so we invite you to come to Evergreen, Colorado throughout the season to enjoy the beautiful creations in a socially-distanced holiday celebration brought to you by the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce.
