When
Event Description
Join us for the opening of Marguerite Humeau’s "Orisons," a subtle, 160-acre earthwork that transforms an unfarmable plot of land in Colorado’s San Luis Valley into a place of reverence, honoring its expansive history, existing ecosystem, and imaginable futures. The work opens to the public on Saturday, July 29, 2023, with a public celebration from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m (Mountain Time) at the Frontier Drive-Inn in Center, Colorado. RSVP at https://orisons-opening.eventbrite.com.
Note, the artwork is not located at the Frontier Drive-Inn. The event venue is located approximately 20 minutes from the artwork's location in Hooper, Colorado, on land owned by Jones Farms Organics. Guests will need to arrive and park at the Frontier Drive-Inn. To experience "Orisons," we will have free shuttles available that transport guests to and from the artwork throughout the opening.
