The Stapleton Dog Park, like other dog parks in Denver, is closed and deserted after city and statewide stay-at-home orders to battle the spread of coronavirus, on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. There are now 19 confirmed deaths in the state from COVID-19.

Sixty percent of the United States is now under some kind of stay-home order, and that likely includes you, dear listener. This week on Purplish, hosts Bente Birkeland and Andrew Kenney talk about what that order means for all of us with CPR's Ben Markus. They discuss how Gov. Jared Polis came to take this step, what it means for Coloradans, and how coronavirus is changing governance in the state. Also, before the legislative hiatus requires us to put Hot Bills on the shelf for a while, we wrap up one historic policy that became law this week.
